When God Isn’t on Your Side: A Spiritual Wake-Up Call

There are moments in life—both personal and collective—when reality crashes through illusion like thunder. Moments when the illusion of control, power, and moral superiority is shattered, and all that's left is the undeniable truth: we were wrong.
I believe what we're witnessing with Israel’s recent military actions wasn’t just political or strategic miscalculation. It feels spiritual. There was a belief that striking Tehran would send a message—display power, demand respect, and showcase strength. But that moment unraveled fast. The iron dome failed. The plan crumbled. And much of what once felt secure has been shaken to the core.
What if this wasn’t just about technology or tactics? What if this was a divine interruption?
From a spiritual lens, I see a warning finally answered. For years, the suffering of the Palestinian people has been buried under politics, rationalized by religion, or simply ignored.
But pain has a voice. And in the spiritual realm, injustice always echoes back. Life gives warning after warning, sending whispers, signals, and chances to turn around. But when those warnings are dismissed long enough, life responds. Calamity isn’t always punishment—it’s often the final wake-up call when we've refused to listen.
Israel is now at a spiritual crossroads. And this isn’t about who is more right or more wrong—it’s about whether any of us are still listening to the whisper of truth in our spirit. It’s one thing to believe God is on your side. But what happens when the evidence suggests that God is not? That perhaps, just perhaps, the divine is standing with the very people you’ve been taught to oppose?
That’s a hard thing to reconcile—especially when your religious framework has always taught you otherwise. But real spirituality doesn’t ask you to stay comfortable. It asks you to be honest. And being honest means asking questions that shake your soul.
What if the enemy you’ve demonized has been the one God’s been asking you to love? What if your strength became your blindness? What if what’s falling apart is actually grace trying to save you?
This isn't about nations and borders alone. It's about every one of us. Because at some point, we all stand at a crossroads. When we look in the mirror and realize that our beliefs, our pride, our silence—or our fear—might have led us away from the divine instead of closer..
Israel is at that point. But so are many of us.
Are we listening?
